Baccarat

At fallsview Casino resort

Settle in at one of our Mini or Midi Baccarat tables in Salon Privé or on the main floor and place your bet on whether the Banker’s hand or yours will come closest to nine. Electronic Baccarat is also available nearby on the main floor.

How to Play Baccarat

Minimums, maximums, and maximum payouts are posted at each table.

Baccarat
Baccarat is a fast-paced and exciting game where the house deals the cards, and players flip them over. Depending on the variation, players may or may not handle the cards. Mini and Midi Baccarat follow the same drawing rules as classic Baccarat.

Objective
The aim is to bet on the hand with the highest value. The best hand is 9, and the lowest is 0. Tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings count as zero, Aces count as one, and all other cards keep their face value. Only the rightmost digit of the total determines the hand’s value.

Example:
Four cards are dealt: the first and third form the Player’s hand, and the second and fourth form the Banker’s hand. Once the initial cards are revealed, the Dealer announces the totals. If necessary, one additional card per hand is drawn based on the Third Card Rules.

Betting Options
You can bet on the Player, the Banker, or a tie. Winning bets on the Player or Banker are paid 1 to 1, except when the Banker wins with a 6 in No Commission Baccarat. Tie bets pay 8 to 1 and are only rewarded when a tie occurs.

No Commission Baccarat
When the Banker wins with a point total of 6, the payout is 1 to 2 (half the wager).
An optional SUPER 6 side bet is available, paying 12 to 1 when the Banker wins with a 6.

Commission Baccarat
Winning Banker bets pay even money, minus a 5% commission.

Additional Wagers
Side bets vary by table and are clearly marked.

Dragon Bonus®
Dragon Bonus is a Baccarat side bet that rewards players for natural wins or victories by a large point margin. To participate, place your bet in the marked Dragon Bonus area and choose either the Player or Banker hand. Some casinos may also require a main Baccarat wager.

Ways to Win:

  • Your hand is a natural winner.

  • Your non-natural hand wins by at least four points.

Dragon Bonus Payouts:

Naturals:

  • Natural Tie – Push

Non-Naturals:

  • Win by 7 points – 4 to 1

  • Win by 6 points – 4 to 1

  • Win by 5 points – 2 to 1

  • Win by 4 points – 2 to 1

All other results lose the Dragon Bonus bet.
